Pretty Polly!

Having spent several days, last week, looking through old photographs, it brought to mind another memory I thought I would share with you all.

It was July 8th 2007, the day before Daisy's 2nd Birthday, and we had a little tea party at home, with Charlie & Alice. I thought it was a great opportunity to get a photo of Rob and all his 3 children so I gathered them together on the sofa to get the perfect shot. Well, as you can imagine, it wasn't easy to get right ... Charlie kept blinking with the flash, Daisy kept looking everywhere other than at the camera, then we were all laughing at the problems we were having, but, eventually, by about take 6, we got a shot that was 'the one'. I loved that photo (still do), and knew that Mum would too, so I got a copy and a frame for her. Very sadly, as you all know, we lost Rob shortly after, and this photo became even more treasured and poignant to us all. But, one day, when I went to visit Mum, she told me that she had doctored the image, as she felt strongly that she wanted me to be a part of that wonderful family image. So she had cut my head out of another photograph and stuck me on!! My head was tiny, in proportion to the others, and I just looked like some sort of parrot, sitting on Rob's shoulder, it was laughable!! I persuaded her to remove me, but I will never forget that she did that, and I loved her a little more .....
