Jeans' own diary of events

OUR TRIP TO AUSTRALIA Nov 29th 2010

Arrive Hong Kong Tues 30th 4pm, Metro Park Hotel, wonderful three days, roof top pool.

Dec 4th. Arrive in Australia, we were met by Karen, Sarahs' friend, dressed as a kangaroo. Then another surprise, we went to Karens' house in a London taxi, with a detour and champers included.

Dec 5th. Met up with friends for a Spanish meal which was delicious.

Dec 6th. Christmas spectacular at Melbourne.

Tues 7th. Present for us from Karen, two hour trip on a Harley motorbike, very exciting, what a fantastic surprise.

Wed 8th. Went to Kims', Karens' employers.

Thu 9th. Yet another meal, Italian this time. Sarah and I went for a days pamper, very relaxing then to the beach for an hour. Daisy went to Kims' for the day.

Fri 10th. Fly to Adelaide to stay with Joanne and Steve. Meeting Margaret and Bill for coffee Sat 11th. Then on to Julie, Richard, Ellie May and Charlie for a barbeque. Had a lovely day playing cricket on the beach Sunday morning, then lunch at a winery, kangaroo and goat on the menu, cheese salad I enjoyed.

Tues 14th. Went to Maureen and Tom at Hampton, had a good day.

Wed 15th Last night went to Clarendon market, an experience and wonderful atmosphere.

Fri 17th. 'Neighbours' tour today. Met nice people, interesting tour.

Sat 18th. Heresville animal sanctuary saw Kangaroos, koalas, reptiles, Tasmanian devil, rehearsal of eagles, parrots, owls and kites. Onto a winery lunch then saw Josh Lacey Christmas nativity.

Mon 20th. Today went to Bay Street bought Karens' cake had lunch at a bakery then took a walk to the beach.

Dec 23rd. Stayed at beach today, Noels' parry 6.30pm tonight.

Dec 24th. Karens' birthday, picnic park lunch at Lathams, carols by candlelight.

Dec 30th. Visited Bondi, Tamarama and Bronte beaches.

Jan 1st.Ferry to Taronga zoo. Having lunch at Cafe Rock with Sharon and Mirna on the harbour road Opera House.

Jan 2nd. Stayed overnight at the zoo, 'roar and snore', ferry back to Sharons' beach house.
